Timothy (Tim) Daryl Howard, Sr.

Timothy (Tim) Daryl Howard Sr. was born March 31, 1958 in Fort Ogelthorpe, Georgia. Tim was the third son of Virginia Jennings and Gordon Howard. He spent his early years with his grandparents, Rowena and Gus Young. This was a special period in his life. There he learned the joys of country living; hunting, fishing, and gardening. Tim spent his high school years at Ringgold High in Georgia. Most of his working career was in the construction business. This took him to Houston in the early eighties. There he met and married Amy Sautter in 1985. He started his own remodeling business. The family later settled in Sugarland, Texas. There, Tim was active in St. Theresa Catholic Church Community and spent many hours coaching and watching his sons play baseball. In 2005, the family moved to San Antonio. There, Tim continued his construction business. Tim is survived by his wife Amy; his eight children, Tim Jr., Matthew, Christopher, Ryan, Luke, Annie, Andrew and Paul. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and brother Larry Howard. Tim died at home with his loving family at his side. He fought a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer. The family takes comfort in the many years Tim worked tirelessly and lovingly for his family. They wish to thank Christus Hospice for the loving care they extended to Tim. The family extends their deep appreciation to the Stephens Minister, Randy, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church for the comfort his prayers and presence brought to Tim. The visitation will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011 beginning at 5:00 P.M. followed by the Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M. at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 North Loop 1604 East. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 8:00 A.M. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 20523 Huebner Rd. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
