Tonna was my college roommate at Harding University. She was kind and gentle with me even though I had wild ways. 

Her family was kind enough to provide me with sponsorship, clothing and food for mission trips I went on.

I'm glad I knew Tonna Cervantes. I remember her from our Alamo City days at church and school. I remember how much she showed me, by her life, how important the Lord was to her and then how special her children were to her. I'm glad I have a copy of her encouraging article and I will always keep a little pair of quilted hearts she gave me over 10 years ago. Thank you Jesus for all the hearts you touched through your servants Tonna and Steve

Steve and girls - we are so sad to hear that Tonna has gone from you and this life, but so rejoicing in knowing where she has gone. She was a special woman and she will be missed. Our prayers, thoughts and love are with you.

Mrs. Cervantes was an amazing woman. She always saw in me the ability to be even greater than I am. She challenged me to love the Lord whole heartedly and live my life in his will. When I needed encouragement she was there and I needed wisdom she offered her hand of help. I will never forget her. Heaven rejoiced in her life and her walk into the gates of heaven.

Steve our heart goes out to you and the girls. May God bless all of your family now and forever. Belinda and I will keep you and yours in our prayers. I can still see your smiling faces from when you were here in Bentonville. When I think of Tonna I see her smiling.

Dearest Steve, Joy and Hope, 
It is sad to hear of Tonna's passing, but a wonderful comfort to know that she suffers no longer and is with her Savior now. She was a wonderful, Godly woman and your family has a special place in our memories. My joy come in the morning, after your grieving has been eased. Joy and Hope, I know what it is to loose your mother at such a young age. My mother died when I was 13. You will never stop missing her but you can be thankful that you had her and that she loved you both with all her heart! She was a wonderful example for you and the great reunion will be when this life is over for us and we join our moms. Steve, so sorry for the loose of your dearest companion, friend, sister-in-Christ and wife. May your precious memories be a treasure in your heart as you move from day to day. God bless you all.

Tonna had an impact on my life since Alamo City Christian Fellowship. I met her at a ladie's retreat and I remember her doing needlework and having the sweetest Spirit of any lady attending. I have kept up with her via the Oak Hills Newspaper articles It is exciting to know that we get to see her again...I will pray for your family and that The Lord will wrap His arms around each of you.
