Umeko Karman

Umeko Suzuki Karman (Mary or Ume) joined her parents and friends in heaven on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 93 years old. She owned her own beauty salons for 30 years. She was a cosmetologist teacher/instructor for 15 years working for San Antonio Beauty College and Vogue Beauty College. Much more than her career, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was adored by all, loved by many, and understood by 6. She is survived by her Son, Sir William and his wife whom she called daughter, Cynthia Karman. Her grandchildren, William Eugene Karman Jr. and his wife Brandy Karman, Heather Barrera and her husband Michael Barrera II, Nicole Sawyer and her husband John Sawyer, Jason Karman and his wife Emily Karman, Joshua Karman and his significant other, Victoria Luna, Leticia (Letty) Fennig and her husband Tommy, Leo Cortinas and his significant other Raul Silva, Luis and Anna Cortinas, and Larry Cortinas and Julie Menchaca. Her great-grandchildren, Amorrena Lutzenberger, Michael (Mikey) Barrera III, Aiden Sawyer, Harmony Pacheo, Jaxon Fennig, and Dexter Fennig. You are very loved and will be missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 9 am to 10 am at Sunset Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
