Valentin Aguilar III, born on September 30, 1965, was called home on August 10, 2016 at the age of 50. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Melissa Aguilar; children, Heather Aguilar, Hailey Aguilar; parents, Valentin and Olga Aguilar; brother, David V. Aguilar (Kasondra); sister, Sharon Lopez (Juan), and numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
He taught at Stonewall Flander's Elementary School in the Harlandale School District for 24 years. He was a dedicated husband, father, and a devoted deacon at Alamo Heights Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home. A procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Alamo Heights Baptist Church, 6501 Broadway. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Sunset Funeral Home, San Antonio, TX.
