Vera Stanley, 86, formerly of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on June 20, 2014 in San Antonio Texas. She was born in Madisonville, Texas on March 3, 1928. Vera graduated from Madisonville High School. She was happily married to Olan Stanley for 62 years, until his death in 2008. Vera had a passion for and was very active in her church and community. She is survived and will be missed by her daughter Shary Smith and husband Ken, son Jerry Stanley and wife Dianne, grandsons Brent Smith, Blake Smith and wife Nicki, Bryce Smith, and great grandson Dylan Smith. A Memorial Service will be held at Sunset North Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Inurnment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
