Vernon Ronnie Shade, age 67, unexpectedly passed away last Saturday, October 8, 2011 in San Antonio, due to cardiovascular failure. He was a graduate of Douglass MacArthur High School and St. Mary's University. "Ron" was a successful business owner, general contractor and real estate investor. Passionate for competition, he took top honors in several disciplines throughout his lifetime in motocross, sailing and car racing. He was a loving husband to his wife Cynthia Specia Shade and father to both Charles Shade and Alethea Shade who survive him.
