

He leaves his wife, Mildred Louise of the home. They were married April 9, 1949 in Calvary Baptist Church, Enid, Oklahoma. He also leaves two sons, Fred Archer of San Antonio and Rev. Ron Archer and his wife, Loris of Bon Secour, Alabama; three grandchildren, Joy Archer of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Joshua and Christy Archer of Bon Secour, Alabama, and Janna Archer of Bon Secour, Alabama; one sister, Dorothy Mangel of Sadler, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mima Archer and one sister, who died at birth.
Vic was born November 26, 1917 in Cleveland, Oklahoma and at an early age his family moved to Sperry, Oklahoma.
He was valedictorian of his high school class of 1935. He earned his BA and MA degrees from Phillips University in 1940, at Enid, Oklahoma. He served in the National Guard, Pastored the Grenola Christian Church in Grenola, Kansas. He received a Bachelor of Law Degree in 1952.
Music was one of his loves and playing the tenor sax in bands. At an early age his mother taught him piano.
Vic moved his family to San Antonio, Texas in 1957 where he was employed at Kelly Air Force Base until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of Beacon Hill Baptist over 40 years. A leader of the RA's, teacher of a men's class, member of the choir and a Deacon were some of his special duties and privileges.
Vic leaves behind a host of nephews and nieces, family and friends of USAA, Kelly, Beacon Hill Baptist, Manor Baptist and Dellview Baptist Churches. Also a precious and blessed neighbor and friend, Walter Stephens.
