

She worked for thirty years for the Federal Government and the Department of Defense and retired while at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Jinnie loved her Eggshell Artistry, putting on an International Eggshell Artistry Show for over 11 years. She was a member of the Antique Post Card Club and San Antonio Herb Society. Jinnie also was a reading mentor for children and also enjoyed fishing, arts and crafts and her family.
She was preceded in death by, her parents; husband Major Edward Perkins; and her brother, Clarence A. Jennings.
Jinnie is survived by her sons Edward A. Perkins; Michael S. Perkins and his wife Cheryl; Gregory B. Perkins; grandchildren, Eric E. Perkins and wife Mandy; Ryan M. Perkins; Aaron R. Perkins; and 2 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the Gentiva Hospice and the loving and caring staff of In Home Senior Care.
Mrs. Perkins will be in state from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
