Virginia "Ginny" FitzGerald

Virginia J. “Ginny” FitzGerald passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Monday, January 3, 2022, at the age of 88. She was born on March 4, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to William E. & Hilda Weber. She is survived by her daughters, Linette McCord and husband Jim; daughter, Mary Hurst and husband Bob; the joys of her life, grandsons, Jack McCord and Hagen Hurst; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, John H. “Jack” FitzGerald; her parents; Jack’s parents, Christopher & Claire FitzGerald; brothers, George and Paul Weber; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Ben Loudermilk; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Gerry and Gayle FitzGerald, Chris and Margaret FitzGerald, Art and Betty FitzGerald, and Bob and Alice Nixon.

A graveside service will be held for Ginny on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Mission Park Cemetery North/Dominion, 20900 IH 10 W, San Antonio, TX 78257. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Funeral services are provided by Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238.
