Walter David Giesick

Walter David Giesick went home to be with our Lord on December 3, 2019. He was born in Marion, Texas on December 13, 1943, to Claudius and Louise Giesick. He was preceded in death by his father, Claudius Walter Giesick; his mother, Louise Grimes; his sister, Barbara Jean Giesick; his brother, Brian Giesick; his first wife, Patricia Lynn Giesick; and his second wife, Elizabeth Giesick. He is survived by his mother, Ivalene Giesick; his sister, Evelyn Lassere and brother in law, Bobby Lassere. Also, survived by his son, David Keith Giesick and his family, daughter-in-law Chrisitine Giesick, and their daughters; Brittani, Kasey, Tiffani, and her son, Ty. Walter is also survived by his daughter, Terri Lynn Rodriguez and her family, son-in-law, Michael James Rodriguez, and their daughters; Megan, Michaela, and Miranda. Lastly he is survived by his youngest daughter, Averey Giesick.

Walter was a beloved father, popo, great grandfather, and friend. He also dedicated 33 years in the San Antonio Fire Department as a Lieutenant. He took great pride in his community where he was active in helping his friends, family and neighbors. We would like to thank all of the doctors and medical teams who have cared for him over the years, especially Dr. Abhouzar and Dr. Saad.

The family of Walter will be receiving guests at 5:30pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas. The Celebration of Life for Walter will be from 6:00-7:15pm that same evening.
