Wanda Joan Nussbaum

Wanda Nussbaum, 69, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 7, 2011, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 1, 1941 in Berne, IN to Orval and Pollyanna Lehman Neuenschwander. On December 28, 1963, she married S. James Nussbaum in Berne, IN. They lived in South Texas for over 40 years.

Wanda is preceded in death by her Father, Orval Neuenschwander and sister, Omega Ann. She is survived by her loving husband; two children, Scott Nussbaum of College Station and Cynthia Bart Hernandez of San Antonio;mother, Pollyanna Neuenschwander; two brothers, Olin Rita Neuenschwander and Ryan Debbie Neuenschwander; two sisters, Beth Gary Hart and Chloe Johns-Cooper and husband Jack and several nieces and nephews. Also missing their precious Grammy are grandchildren, Kayla, Kirsten and James A. Nussbaum and Caleb Hernandez.

Wanda was a member of Shearer Hills Baptist Church. She was active in the Gideons Auxiliary and was an avid RV'er along with her husband. Wanda was also a very active member of Preceptor Phi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and was this year's Sweetheart for her chapter. This precious Wife, Mother, Grammy, Daughter, Sister and friend will be sorely missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
