Wayne Holland Massengale was born in San Antonio, TX, and lived his entire life here. He managed San Antonio Armature Works for many years and retired to the Hill Country in 1968. He was the master of everything mechanical, a lover of classic cars, and a gun collector.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Minnie Lou (Drumm) Massengale; brothers, Wilburn, Lewis and Lee Roy, Jr; and sister, Barbara Jerkins.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bobbye Massengale; daughter, Toni Sue Weber; granddaughter, Brandi Wyman; great-grandson, Ogden Wyman; sister, Alice Shaw (Charlie); brother, James Massengale (Jean Ann); and numerous nieces and nephews whom he held dear.
Wayne is also survived by half-brothers, Ronnie Massengale (Lina), Harry Massengale (Maria), Larry Massengale (Linda), Norman Massengale (Hope); half-sisters, Betty Jean Klein (Gene), Carol Busby (Buzz) and Doris Duran.
Wayne will be cremated at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Boldtville Presbyterian Church for family and friends.
