William Augustus Bedell, III

Mr. Bedell graduated from Old Main High School in 1929. He served as Captain and Squadron Commander in the U.S. Air Force 1942-1946.

He was a retired homebuilder, Insurance Executive, and Investor, was a member of SAE Fraternity, Scottish Rite, Special Ranger, State of Texas Ranger Force and Plaza Club.

He was a charter member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He attended Davidson College in North Carolina and Oklahoma University in Norman, Oklahoma.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of the Republic of Texas and Sons of the Confederacy.

Survivors: step-daughter, Margaret Ballenger Cluck; grandson, Jonathan Ballenger Cluck and wife, Karen; great grandsons, Jonathan B. Cluck and William C. Cluck; granddaughter, Margaret Elizabeth Weston and husband, Graham; great grandsons, Glenn, Grant and Gage; and many special friends.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Pallbearers: Dennis E. Feigenspan, Gilard G. Kargl, Roger M. Riley, Dr. James M. Williams, Jeff M. Vollmer, and Richard E. Bashara.

Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. James W. Yancy, Dr. S.S. Kalter and Richard J. Boerner.

Mr. Bedell will be placed in the Bedell Crypt at Sunset Memorial Park.
