William Jerry Easterling

William Jerry Easterling, 65, entered into the joy of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 18, 2008. Jerry was the most loving and devoted husband, father, and friend, as witnessed by everyone he knew. He lived a full and happy life that was filled with the accomplishments of his greatest hopes and dreams. More than anything, Jerry loved his Heavenly Father and gave God the credit for every blessing in his life. Jerry was born on December 8, 1942 in Montgomery, Alabama to William and Ruth Easterling.

He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacology where he was a devoted member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Jerry devoted his life to helping others through his love of pharmacy research and development, and built a successful business which allowed him to help others throughout the world. He gave of himself freely and unabashedly, working in obedience to God's word with a servant's heart, while deriving his greatest joy from his loving family, and always living to set a Christ-like example for others to see and follow.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Karen; daughter, Tyler Easterling Matjeka and son-in-law Scott Matjeka; sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Tonya Easterling and Sam and Suzie Easterling; sister, Mary Ann Sullivan and husband Phil, and grandchildren, Kyle, Little Sam, Hannah, and Blake, and numerous nieces and nephews.
