Our beloved "Dad," "Pop" and "Gramps" William Dean Grainger, went to be with The Lord on Friday, September 6, 2002 at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alva. Bill was a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, then continued his love of flying as a commercial airline pilot. He is survived by his close sister, Betty Dixon; his precious daughters, Donna Deane, her husband Paul; Pamela Ann, her husband Jeff; sons and sailing crew members, Jim Wieding, his wife Betsey; Michael, his wife Chris; 10 adoring grandchildren; 1 wondrous great-granddaughter and his dear friend Tempest Wager. Bill will always be remembered for his love of sailing, flying, family and friends.
