Knowing Ricky the way that I did, was always such a blessing to me. He was very genuine in his outlook and views about life. As we both grew in years, he came to know the Lord and was very open with me about his belief and relationship with Christ. The most impressive characteristic that Ricky had, was his ability to make you smile even when you were struggling personally. He and I would talk once a month, and always finished up our usual one hour call with “love you bro” and I knew that he meant it. 
I could say more about Ricky and what his friendship meant, however I will close with the two things that I can guarantee Ricky is doing in Heaven. One calling all of new male friend he meets “Big Daddy”, followed by his second a”what’s up”. I miss the guy. I enjoyed our talks. He was genuine and open about the good and bad choices he made in life, however Ricky always knew his best decision was giving his life to Christ. Great guy, great friend.
Gonna miss him.

William Ricky was a great friend of mine for 16 years... like a brother.  Always offered to help others in any way possible. If there’s a poker table in heaven, I would bet he’s playing now.
