William Wilmot Jordan ("Bill") passed peacefully into the loving arms of our Lord on Saturday, August 8, 2015, among family and friends. He was born in Austin, Texas, February 16, 1936, to Consuelo Wilmot Jordan and William Jordan.
Bill grew up in Corpus Christi and was the drum major at Roy Miller High School. An accomplished clarinetist, Bill was accepted to The Juilliard School. He served in the U.S. Air Force and later attended the University of Texas at Austin where he majored in Political Science.
After college, Bill joined FedMart in retail sales in Houston, Texas, and was promoted to Buyer. While at FedMart, he transferred to Orange County and San Diego, California, and soon became the Inventory Control Manager for all U.S. stores. In 1980, Bill joined IBM and became an Account Administrator.
An avid reader, Bill enjoyed books on history and politics, and spent many memorable occasions deep in conversation with friends. He loved classical music, was a devoted Texas Longhorn football fan, and a passionate lover of all animals.
After retirement, Bill and wife, Rhonda, enjoyed traveling to the coast. He lived life to the fullest and was loved and respected by many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Rhonda; his former wife, Emma Jean, and their three children and four grandchildren: son Lance, wife Katya, and daughter Natasha; daughter Pam, husband Grant Hess, and son Gunther; daughter Vanessa, husband Michael Middlebrooks, and son Matthew and daughter Jenna.
