William A. "Bill" Kidd, age 70, passed away March 29, 2015, in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up in Butler, Pennsylvania, graduated from high school there and later earned engineering degrees from Grove City College and Arizona State University.
He proudly served twenty-two years in the United States Air Force and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel before completing a second career with Texas Instruments. Bill was truly one-of-a-kind. He had a positive impact on everyone who had the good fortune to be in his company. Bill loved his family and was very active in the lives of his children and grandchildren, even as they spread out among several states. He worked tirelessly in support of his children's endeavors and always had time to dote on his grandchildren. His neighbors knew he would share his tools and talents with anyone who asked for help. Bill gave far more than he received and that was just fine with him. He will live forever in the memories of all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, the former Katherine Yuengert; their sons, Keith, Kevin, Kris and Kurt; and, his grandchildren Amanda, Trevor, Erin, Evie, Emily and Elliott. Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Anna (Lehnerd) Kidd, and is survived by his father, Harry V. Kidd, Jr., as well as his brother Francis and sisters Loretta Donaldson and Jane Rak.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
