

William Alfred Parker, May 17, 1930 - November 30, 2016, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, moved with his family to San Antonio when he was six years old. Bill's family was originally from Parker's Landing in Pennsylvania. They subsequently moved to Tulsa, and then finally to San Antonio, Texas. He attended the San Antonio Academy, prep schools Fountain Valley in Colorado Springs, graduated High School at Lawrensville, and attended Princeton University.
He served in the Army (1952). He was involved in the family oil business - Parker Oil & Gas and Lewis Oil Company.
Bill was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church which he loved with all his heart.
He was also a member of the San Antonio German Club, the Order of the Alamo, The Pilon Club, San Antonio Country Club, The Argyle, Club Giraud, The Everglades Club in Palm Beach, Florida, and The Wiano Club in Osterville, Massachusetts.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Margarite and George Parker, his brothers, Harry J. Parker II, George Parker, Jr., Joseph Bright Parker, and his wife Mary Anne Chittim Parker, John Meredith Parker, and his wife Patricia Heppes Parker.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Camilla Beatrice Mueller Parker, their children, Camilla Parker Mixon, husband Steve, her children William Thomas Cowden, and Parker Jean Cowden; Willam Alfred Parker, Jr. and his children, Judith Parker, Kelly Parker Schoolcraft, husband Matt, Vaughn Parker. fiancé Matt Mitchell; Alicia Parker Brusenhan, husband Harry Hammet Brusenhan, Jr., and their children, Camilla (Milla) Bright Brusenhan, Ian Parker Brusenhan, and Alicia (Ali) Louise Brusenhan.
Bill is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Handy Parker, wife of deceased brother, Harry J. Parker II, and their children, Harry J. Parker III, wife Meg, Mary Alama Parker, Josephine Parker-Cervantes; Joe B. Parker, Jr., wife Chrys, Margarite Parker Guggolz, husband Tom; John M. Parker, Jr., Mary Elizabeth (CeCe) Parker, Janie Parker Vallach, husband Ken, George Lewis Parker, wife Eva and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Bill is also survived by cousin, Martha Buford, husband Robert, and their children RC Buford, wife Beth, Anne Buford, Jo Buford Siegfried, husband Tray, and last but not least, his two favorite four-legged children, Isolde and Bismarck.
Bill's family would also like to express their sincere thanks to P.J. Fleming, Maria Diaz, Fabian Orozco, the devoted staff at Caring Solutions, and Dr. Bradley Kayser.
