I met Bill when he and his wife Evelyn would come and visit their daughters Zena and Trish and their grand kids Ty and Jason in Olympia, WA. I had never been around such generous beings who had such strong ties with each other. What an incredible family. Bill was the sweetest man, father, grand father i had ever met. I loved singing with him so much and playing hukulele. I think about him every day and he will remain in my heart forever. I love you Bill. I'm so lucky i got to know you.

So sorry to lose this great man. He built a wonderful community and family. I will never forget all of his wonderful hospitality and warm smile. Knowing the Vergara family and experiencing their kindness is one of the highlights of my life. He is with us in Heaven.

Heartfelt sympathy for your loss. What a gentle soul Bill was. He was always very kind, gentle and generous with us. We feel fortunate to have known him.

Dear Bill, 
We certainly will miss you. You have redefined the meaning of "friend". When it comes to helping, you do not count the cost. You readily give completely of yourself. Truly you are a blessing. We have known each other since we were youngsters, things changed but that friendship we forged withstood the test of time and so it will be. We still could call each other and carry on conversation with the same enthusiasm we had as youngsters. That has not changed - borrowing from an old Irish saying " you have only gone to God and God is everywhere". And God is certainly in our midst. So, you see my friend, you are still with us. You are not far away at all. And so with this prayer we bid you; 
" may the angels take you to the bosom of our loving God where all the angels, saints and Our Blessed Mother will be welcoming you and from there may He send Lazarus to seat you at the wedding banquet prepared from eternity for those who believe in His Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ".
