Remember Bill, Gynelle & myself  fishing in Rockport and we were catching fish like crazy and Bill was our  Master baiter putting our bait on our hook - that’s was so much  fun !!  You will be missed dearly RIP Master Baitor Bill 😍😍

I have so many memories to share, that I really don’t know where to begin and end.  Being Bill’s ‘Little Sister’, I have memories that few people will know of, so I will start there. Bill was 6 years older than I, and to me he was and will always be my ‘Big Brother’ in the true meaning of the words. From a very early age, he really made my life so much a happier place to be. He helped to make a bike for me with our older brother, it was completely made from pieces that they found from God only knows where.  Before they made the bike, Bill would pull me behind his bike on a skateboard, man was that fun, all without helmets!  Ok, he wasn’t the perfect angel, we often laughed about the time that he poured battery acid on me, and the time in the winter he shot me in the back with a BB gun... How about fishing on the New Orleans Bayou with a bamboo pole, or sneaking me into the race track and taking me to see the horses. I remember how proud I was when he went in to the Marines, and so sad, my ‘Big Brother’ would no longer be around to make my life a happier and safe place.  After he got out of the Marines, he got married and started a family, but did he forget about his ‘Little Sister’.. no, I was in Ohio and he was in S. Cal, I remember the summer I flew out to see him.  I’m sure that as a young couple with Bill as a baby, money wasn’t easy to come by.  But.. that didn’t stop him from taking me to ALL of the sites of S. Cal, I would hate to think what that cost him.  When I graduated from high school, he loaded the family up and drove from S. Cal to Ohio, in the days of no air conditioning!  Yes, a wonderful ‘Big Brother’ he was.  Than, the years flew by and we each had our jobs and families that kept us physically apart, but we were always together in our hearts.  We were so blessed to be able to reconnect in the last decade to be able to share even more memories together with our spouses along with us.  Some of the best memories of that time have been: Bill and Gynelle’s trip to see Karl and I in Idaho, and watching the wildlife from our window.. especially when I wanted to show him what I thought was a deer, but actually were wild turkeys! Bill and Gynelle showing us Vegas for the first time... my God, how fast Bill walked, I know the last name was Walker,  but he about killed Karl and I trying to keep up! Speaking of Vegas, we met up on another trip together there, and Bill did his darnest to make me bet more than a ‘penny’ at a time... nope, I guess I out stubborned him on that. Probably the last trip we took together was to White Sands, Karl and I had tried to talk Bill and Gynelle to let us show them White Sands.. Bill said NO WAY, there was nothing there to see.  But one of the last trips, he suggested we take them there, and he had to admit that it was something spectacular to see.   When we were kids, he would take me to the library, and than after he got sick, I  shared a Kindle with him and got to show him the wonders of modern technology. We got to share poker games with Karl’s special rules, and board games that Gynelle would get, and yes, we had to change the rules.  Bill’s famous saying during the games were ‘I call Bullshit!’  Oh... what a life .... I will certainly miss my ‘ Big Brother’  but he will always be in my heart.  I know that there is a request for no flowers.  But I would like to share this link with everyone for next year at Christmas time. Bill was married to my husband George’s sister, Gynelle.  When I joined the Scott family twenty years ago I was a little intimidated by the big boisterous Scott clan and it wasn’t long before Bill became my buddy at family gatherings.  Over the years I realized Bill was everybody’s buddy.  He just had that big beaming smile and reassuring way about him.  When there was a chance to have fun, Bill was there.  When things were rough, Bill was there.  We stayed for a month with Bill & Gynelle while our house was being built.  Bill gave me his office so I could work remotely and he, Gynelle and George would be off walking the beaches of S. Cal at full military double time speed!  Some nights Bill would cook yard bird (I was relieved to find out that yard bird is chicken).  I was always lucky gambling when Bill was with us, I think it kinda pissed him off, Bill liked to win!  Bill was a giving person, an opinionated person, he loved his family dearly and he loved his country.  He was a man of integrity and courage.  I will miss him always.  Dani
