

Ying-Chiao "Amy" Tzung, age 91, of Helotes, Texas passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023. Amy was born in Taiwan on March 5, 1932 and is predeceased by her Mother and Father, three Brothers, and three Sisters. Amy was the youngest in the family.
Amy has left behind to cherish her memory her children, Victoria Shih, Tammy Bench, Steve Shih, Daniel Shih, Michelle Beney, and Melissa Eversole; and her grandchildren, Scot Chang, Stephanie Shih, Alexandre Beney, Christian Eversole, Brendan Eversole, Emilie Beney, and Ellie Beney.
Amy enjoyed keeping her hands busy with many hobbies including gardening, cooking, and crocheting. She took pleasure in netting, fishing, and reading the newspaper. Above all, Amy cherished spending time with family and friends, laughing and talking.
Amy loved and protected her family. She took care of all her children on her own with never ending love. It was her fierceness and determination that gave her children the opportunity to be well-accomplished in the United States.
Amy's cooking would often bring people together as she loved to cook everyone. Her authenticity in cooking was so skilled that she never had to look at a recipe. Amy's favorite things to eat were braised pork belly and sunflower seeds. She especially enjoyed Popeyes Tuesdays.
Amy will be remembered as the pillar for her family. She was always there for her children and anyone in need. Her sense of humor and laughter were contagious in so many ways. Memories of her will be cherished and never forgotten.
