Yolanda Garcia Delgado

Yolanda Garcia Delgado passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on August 23, 2018. She was 90 years old April 21st of this year, born in 1928 in Laredo, Texas to Arturo and Margarita Buitron. She married Sam Garcia Jr. in 1947 and they had four children. Yolanda is survived her children, Dolly Arellano (Roy), Sam Garcia III, Steve Garcia (Carol) and Sonny Garcia. Yolanda is survived by 3 grandsons and 6 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her second husband, Fred Delgado, her parents and her 3 siblings, Genevieve Schoen, Arturo Buitron Jr. and Carlos Buitron. Yolanda was a member of the San Fernando Cathedral Choir for over 20 years. She also loved working with children and taught pre-school at St. John’s Lutheran Day Care. The family of Yolanda Garcia Delgado would like to thank all the staff at Memorial Medical Nursing Center for their loving care for over 10 years and the staff at Kindred Hospice who also took wonderful care of Mom. A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. On Wednesday, August 29, 2018 a Chapel Service will be held at Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
