

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne Camille Trevino O’Brien. She passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, in San Antonio, TX. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister and cherished friend. Yvonne left this world too soon, but her impact and legacy will forever endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
She was born on June 3, 1978, and grew up surrounded by the warmth of a close-knit family, learning the values of love, resilience, and kindness that would shape her character in the years to come. She embraced the role of motherhood and her love for her children, Alana and London, was immeasurable. She poured her heart and soul into creating a nurturing and supportive home, where laughter and love filled the air. Her children were the center of her universe, and she approached every challenge with a grace and strength that left a lasting impression on those who witnessed her maternal devotion.
Yvonne 's professional life was a testament to her passion for education and cultural diversity. She dedicated herself to being a bilingual teacher, not just imparting knowledge but also instilling a love for learning in her students. Yvonne believed that education had the power to bridge gaps and bring people together, and she worked tirelessly to create a nurturing and inclusive environment in her classroom. She had a unique ability to connect with people from various backgrounds, fostering an atmosphere of respect and understanding.

She is survived by her husband, Casey O’Brien; daughters, Alana O’Brien and London Trevino O’Brien; parents, Sheila and Rolando Trevino; sister, Katherine Garza (Alex); nieces and nephews, Kenzlee, Maximus, Zander, Moira, Owen, Stella, and Lincoln; mother and father-in-law, Char and Greg O’Brien; and numerous extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 14, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
