SSG Martinez was an exemplary team leader during his time in the US Army and Army Reserve.  The success of the 812th Supply and Service Company can be largely attributed to him and his team over the span of 30 plus years.  It was my privilege to have known  and worked with him from 1974 until 1995.

To the family of Ernie goes my deepest sympathy    and and God bless you.

May God bless Ernie's family during this sad time.  I met him when I joined the Reserves in 1974 and he always had a smile and treated us ladies with respect.

My condolence to the Martinez family, had the honor of serving under SFC Martinez back in the late 80's.  We will miss you Battle and thank you for all you did as a member of the 812th S&S Company.
