Yvette my deepest sympathy goes out to you n your family. I dont know if you remember me MaryGarza. Was your dads secretary in las yescas. I will miss Mary very much. Always held a special place in my heart. Enjoyed when she come over to the house  sat under a tree with her 6pack of cokes and we talked for hours. She will be greatly missed.

Very few people live their lives to serve a community.  Mary Villarreal was one of those special individuals.  As a teacher for 52 years, she provided close to 2,000 children with a quality education and a bright future.  Long after retirement, she continued her mission to ensure the State of Texas sustained a high-quality education system; for children and educators alike.  And for the countless number of families, friends, and neighbors, Mary leaves a legacy of love, laughter, strength, and hope.

We will miss seeing her drive up to our homes with a six pack of Coca Cola.  We will miss hearing her sing and whistle El Moño Colorado.  We will miss her wonderful stories about the love she shared with her late husband, her precious daughter, and her beautiful grandchildren.

We honor you.  We thank you.  But most of all, we will miss you.
