We will trully miss our every day  "super hero" Carol. She touched all our lives in a special way, and for that, we are thankful. She always put a smile on our face with her quirky sense of humor. We look forward to seeing her smile again  in heaven.

Reflecting on so many memories over the years has made me appreciate the gift of friendship that Carol and I shared.  I recalled so many fun trips to the river house over the last twenty years,  and how we appreciated the beauty of the river. It  made me compare our friendship to the river.  Starting in the Colorado mountains, its destiny is  to head to the sea.  The river of our friendship started its point of origin, when we were four year old neighbors.  My first memory is of us  swinging in a swing my dad built for me, behind our grocery store.  We played together daily in school and at home.  As the river roils and boils with rapids, so our friendship  did the same, as we fought frequently in our early years each wanting our own way.  Junior high and high school, we flowed along smoothly and celebrated our lives in eager anticipation of adulthood.   As we faced rocks in our river and attempts to stifle its flow, we overcame many, many obstacles together, finding peace in our relationship, when the river threatened to overwhelm its banks.  As great grandmothers now we have commiserated together over the last 70 years of our lives, futures and our final destinations, as the river was nearing her sea.  The river has been stilled for me for now, but the memories etched in the formations of my mind will forever be.  I'm looking forward to the day when my journey to the sea meets in that sacred reunion with hers,  and we will flow together again, forever in eternal friendship.  

Grandma, you are the most kind, loving, and beautiful person I have ever met. You made the world a better place with your friendliness and your smile. You didn't have to raise me but you did, and I will forever be thankful for that. All the trips we went on, all the places we went to, everything you taught me , you wanted me to have a good life and I do, all because of your hard work. I know you are still with me. I know you are also in a better place. Jesus got his favorite angel back. I love you grandma forever and always.

Grandma,
 I will miss you but I know you are in better place then suffering here on this planet.  I know  your soul is in heaven and I know your with God ,  Grandpa  and Grandma. I love even though your not here thank you your the best Grandma I ever had I love you and miss you.

Aunt Carol,
You had such a big heart and cared so much about everyone in your family. You would do anything for them and that is 
something I look up to now that I'm a mother, too.
I'll always remember you winning the game prizes at my bridal shower because you were so excited and said you never win! Thank you for always attending the most important events in my life. I'm thankful for that time we spent together. 
I always looked forward to Christmas Eve and seeing you and your side of the family. Lunches at Celebrities were always a good time, too. I loved your laugh and your personality. You will truly be missed. Love you!

It has been more than 25 years that we’re neighbors and I have seen your children  and grandchildren  grow up and mature. You’re an amazing woman! ....for God has given you so much strength, love and compassion to take care of them all. Thanks for the concern you’ve shown to us and my mother when she was getting  close to death ... she passed away 12-29-2017 at age 95. Now she’s gone with you . We surely say prayers for you... and for  mother to see you there in Heaven .


Mom,  I am so proud to have been your Son,  I hope I can be as strong as you as I look forward in this life without you.  Thank you for being my Mom,  cause' I know I caused you a great deal of grey hair and sleepless nights.  I worried everyday about you.  I learned so much from you growing up , I believe that your strong character and selfless ways have taught me how to be a better person, a better friend, and a much better father. I will take care of my Family as well as Zac, Jacob,  and Josh.  I know you were worried about Zac.  I have taking care of that. Thanks for always being there.  You will be missed but never forgotten and I will always love you.   

Grandma, its hard to really fathom your not here with us,  so much untold and unfinished stories ,  all those beach trips to Carlsbad walking along side  the ocean, collecting the sand dollars. As the sun was going down we hurried back to are chairs and watched as the sun was setting. sitting, watching  as the sun slowly disappeared beyond the horizon. apart from the beach, the flight to Chicago was absolutely breathtaking,  from Chicago the drive to the family reunion in Michigan was eye opening seen and did so much, also met a whole other side of the family the Raiders, some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. the most gratifying memory's  ill never forget is my  last moments with you coming home after work talking about are each others days over all your favorite tv shows. there's not a day that goes by that your not thought of. I love you miss you always 

Aunt Carol - I always looked forward to seeing you & your family on Christmas Eve all those many years ago - whether it was at Grandma & Grandpa's house or my mom & dad's house.  You were always quick to laugh, easy going, and gregarious.  You always made me feel very at ease!  I remember you always brought with you a cranberry salad every Christmas Eve, too.   You will be sorely missed.  Love, your niece Jessica.

Carol, I am so glad I got to spend time with you and Chris before you passed. I've known you since the summer of 1964,when my family moved to California. I always enjoyed going to Ted's Shortstop & shopping with you. I also enjoyed going to Las Vegas with you guys when I was 16. You stayed next to my machine in case I won,since I wasn't old enough😂I'm going to miss you - Love your cousin Cheryl Miller

We had so many good times together. Going to Laughlin many, many times, good times...      The visit to Chicago was full of memories. Sitting across from 
each other, over that deep dish pizza, was hilarious. We polished that pizza off, just the two of us, laughing between slices. 
 Phone calls were long and numerous, I think we solved a lot of issues over the phone. Supported each other in many different ways.
 I still want to pick up that phone and call you Carol. Those days are over and I will always miss you.  Love, Your sister in law,  Vivi
