Catarino “Perry” Salas, a man of honor and great love, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a family built on the foundations of love and devotion.
Born in Big Spring, Texas, Perry eventually found his way to San Bernardino, California. It was there that destiny intervened, leading him to his beautiful soulmate, Estella. The two were wed in 1949, beginning a lifelong partnership defined by grace and a shared commitment to their four daughters.
Perry was the cornerstone of their family. He is survived by his daughters:
Sarah (Steve) Thornberry
Diana (Pat) Kossman
Salome Jarvis
His influence lives on through his eight grandchildren: Marie (Brian) Honeyfield, Ciara Kasa, Christopher (Brandee) Kossman, April Kossman, Jeffrey (Lauren) Jarvis, Shaun (Brittany) Kossman, Joshua Jarvis, and Robby Kossman.
He was also the proud great-grandfather to Brandon, McKaela, Steven, Lainey, Veda, and Noah each of whom carried a piece of their Papa's legacy with them.
While Perry’s presence will be deeply missed on earth, there is comfort in knowing he is no longer alone. He has gone to join those who preceded him in eternal peace: his beloved wife, Estella Salas; his daughter, Sandra Arce; his son-in-law, Chris Jarvis; his siblings, Beatrice, Sarah, John, Fred, and Yolanda; and his parents, Catarino and Sarah Salas.
Perry will be remembered as a man of steady strength and a "beautiful soul" who cherished our Lord Jesus Christ and his family above all else.
