Dolores Alicia Vaca, daughter of the late Raymond and Guadalupe Young was born February 6, 1932, in Colton California. She was 1 of 20 children. Dolores was preceded in death by her love Aurelio Remigio, her sons Tony and Larry, her daughter-in-law Linda, and her many siblings. She is survived by her daughter Lupe, son-in-law Tony, her son Ruben, daughter-in-law Angie, daughter-in-law Jovita, son David, 3 sisters: Carmen, Juanita, Dorothy, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Dolores resided in San Bernardino before her love Aurelio swept her off her feet to Los Angeles. They had many days and nights full of dancing, fun, laughter, and love. She was a hard worker and worked many places while living in Los Angeles. They decided to return to San Bernardino where she worked at Del's Mexican Restaurant in Colton and then many years at Norton Air Force Base as a cook/cashier/waitress before retiring in 1993. They spent the rest of their years in San Bernardino as parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and great-great grandparents.
Dolores had a great love for cooking, crocheting, country western music, hummingbirds, watching her grandchildren play sports, Madea movies, and every and any outing spent with her family. She was full of youthful energy and contagious laughter. She exhibited her beauty in ways that left people in awe, always immaculate in her attire and her beautifully made-up face along with her glistening jewelry and matching nails, such a beautiful sight to see. Always saying she will be "Young" forever (her maiden name) and she lived her life as so. Her strength and perseverance were remarkable. Given her many obstacles and medical hurdles in life, she miraculously recovered unbeknownst to any medical explanation, leaving many doctors perplexed by her healing and her resilience. She was considered a medical miracle and continued to show her perseverance and strength until the very day she passed.
Our beloved and beautiful mama, grandma, tatama, sister, and aunt, we thank you for all the fun times, laughter, and all the memories that we will cherish forever in our hearts. You will be missed immensely.
