  Your Mom and Our Tia Helen has given us many loving memories.  You are a wonderful son to to your Mom and stood strong to walk with your Mom for 40 days. 
  I get  comfort by believing she is with her family. Helen Rodriquez has contributed to all our families. She has accomplished so much for all of us. We would not be here today and achieve our dreams without her. It is her legacy  which we all must continue, for her and our familia.
  Alvaro my prayers that you will hear your Mom tell you how proud she is to have a son as you for being there when she needed you.  may it give you comfort to endure the days that follow at the loss of our loved ones.

I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

You are the most incredible hard working and caring person I have ever known. You got up in the middle of night to make breakfast for dad and his lunch, so he could leave to his job site, you then prepared my breakfast and lunch and started making dinner fir that evening. All your life, you and dad worked to give your daughter and son the best education possible. We hardly had time together  as a child, since your work sometimes demanded weekends, and dad, well dad was dad.
I remember how you would send money each month for an adoptive child in some third world nation. You would go to donate blood several times a year. You worked at home for extra income hand painting black and white photos, fix jewelery, make dresses for Patch dolls, sell plants, your favorite hobby gardening. When you were expecting my sis, you put me to sell all ocasion cards door to door, mow lawns and everything else that I did not know what the heck I was doing. You washed, ironed, sewed, made tortillas, tamales, and you would watch tv knitting and croucheting, you were the house plumber and painter, carpet layer. You were always lucky in gambling and you had the greenest thumb and you were the finance guru of the family.
At the age of 91, after a massive brain hemorgage, that doctores gave you for dead, and on the fifth day you rose from the dead and your first words were I AM HUNGRY"you made a great come back, you walked, you expressed yourself as best you could, you semi returned to your active ways, you did your bed, did dishes, swept the kitchen, patio and raked leaves, water and washed by hand your clothes. We still went out to eat with tia lela and sometimes the theatre, but, on December 14th, St.Bernardines hospital changed our lives, giving you an almost good bill of health, they kept you and we all saw the begining of your end. What you suffered for 40 days, only a person like you could endure. I am so sorry mother that this happened to you under my watch, and I beg your forgiveness,  You suffered a horrible death because you were 96 yrs. old, and you were denied the right to live longer because of this. May God forgive me and them. I miss you Mom.
