Ah Mom it's so hard to say good bye to you. Mom I just want to say that I appreciate everything you did for Me (Richard), Iris and Julio. Thank you for the unconditional love of a Mother that you gave us. Thank you for the Hugs, Kisses and sharing your Smile with us. Ah Mom you gave us the best childhood memories possible, best birthday parties always. Also allowing are friends to come over or go with us to the park, movies, Knotts and stuff. You taught us how to be close as brothers and sister also to joke around till we couldn't breath or have to go pee. Oh your laugh is unforgettable Mom. You taught us to work hard in life and gave us courage to try something new but most of all you taught us how to value family and friendships. Thank you for introducing us to the game of baseball/softball and being so passionate about the game whether it be the Dodgers our your Grandkids playing. God gave you a Big Heart that it must of been made of Gold. Mom you were so caring, nurturing and understanding that's what made it so easy to talk to you Mom.  My eyes fill with tears and my hearts breaks with pain writing this letter to you Mom because I will no longer feel you warm hugs, hear you laugh or see your beautiful smile. Mom, I'm being strong because that how you taught us to be you worked hard for us and fought hard till the end. Thank you for accepting my wife Janet and going with me to get her engagement ring. Gosh I don’t even know where to start , thank you grandma for taking care us but also being here when we needed you the most . Thank you for supporting me all those times no matter what it was for if it was for baseball or school or just anything in general. You made me fall in love with things you used to do , you taught me how to be a hard working person things are never given to you thank you for raising me how I am today I will forever cherish our moments until we meet again te amo grandma . 

I was blessed to have three grandmas you truly going to be missed grandma Irene especially the energy you would have at baseball or softball games whether it was live or on tv. Thank you for teaching my mom how to cook I’m really going to miss your cooking one of the best chefs I know. It hurts to see you go but you are always going to be with us I love you and going to miss you

In memory of my grandma I would like to say a few things about her. First of all I would like to say that she means the world to me and is one of the most loving caring kindest people I know. She always protected us and needed to take care of us when ever we needed her. She has an amazing heart and is full of love, and she would help people all the time with whatever it was. Also she would teach me a lot about God and Jesus we would also go to church together some Sundays. My grandma was a very beautiful person on the inside and out and she would always have a big smile on our face for us and we were always happy to see her and give her a hug when we would see her. She was one of my biggest cheerleaders and would have so much love for the game I played and it was so exciting to see her get all into my games and be so enthusiastic. I will always remember the stories you told me happy to ones and sad ones. It’s really hard to believe your game be grandma, I don’t know why but I just keep thinking that your in Guatemala on that trip you and grandpa took. I don’t want to except the fact your gone but I do and I need to know that your still in my heart forever.

Irene this is so hard writing something about you because it makes me realize how true it is that I am never going to see you again. I miss you so much. I just want to thank you for loving me and my kids and treating me like a daughter and not like a daughter in law. I will miss you with me to the kids awards  or their games. You so kind hearted and so full of joy.  I loved the memories that we had together and I will cherish them always. I enjoyed praying the rosary with you and the kids and I said that we were going to do that again but I took too long to get over the pain of losing my mom. I'm glad that I got to tell you how much you meant to me but I regret the chance of calling you Mom when you told me that I could.  I love you Mom and please continue to watch over all of us in heaven the way you did on earth

Grandma Irene,
Where do I start my Grandma was everything to me and my sisters she was our second mom, she taught me everything in life how to take care of myself and to never let anyone bring me down because she believed and knew I can do anything I wanted to. She was my biggest supporter in anything I did taking me to my games, practices, where I needed to go which I always appreciated because I got to spend all those moments with her. My precious grandma was the kindest most caring person you would ever meet always smiling and nice to people because thats who she was. I always remember when I was little she would take me to church with her and I would go into her room and she will read the Bible to me because of how much she believed in God and wanted me to as well. It hurts me so much to not hear you, hug, kiss, and see you no more grandma oh how much I would do to wake up to see you making us breakfast making sure we eat before school.  You always brighten up the room always smiling and laughing and your laugh was so contagious and so funny making everyone laugh. I do not know how you were able to deal with me as a child though grandma I know I was so much trouble but you didn't let that stop you from loving me. I am so blessed to have your name grandma, I love you so much and will always because I know you will be watching over me in  what I do. I know you will always be proud of me but it saddens me how I have to do things without you now and can't celebrate or be with you like I always was. I'm so sorry I couldn't be there for you grandma or do anything before you left me, how I couldn't take care of you as you did to me when I was sick or sad.  I wish I could've said goodbye, kiss, thank you for everything you did for me. But please watch over me, Rosie, Alyssa, Cami, Mom, Dad, Julio , Coco, Grandpa ,Raymond, Nathan, Ricky, Nana, Baby Ruben, and Janet. Till we meet again Grandma, I love you.

I still cannot  put into words how heartbreaking it was when I heard the news. Señora Irene,  I still don't believe it. I think its because you are felt everywhere and anywhere.  You were an amazing person who lighted up the room with your genuine smile and personality. I only heard you yell once at Iris and it wasn't even loud. Your soothing voice was always nuturing  and comforting to hear. 
I also take comfort in our last conversation a few months ago. Just glad I was able to say goodbye...

I have no words to express what I felt when I found out you left to a better place. I know we will see each other again. You were like a second mom to me. The last time we spoke you would just smile and you expressed how proud you were of me. You never forgot any of my birthdays and you made it to all my events.  You were in my life from the moment I took my first breath and I opened my eyes. I know I never really expressed how I truly appreciated you and I swore you would be eternal. We always forget life is short and I wish I would've visited you more and called you more often.  Your amazing memories stay with me in my heart and soul. I remember how Momma Irene will always call to our attention the need of staying safe in the streets and being obedient to our parents and yo the law. At a time in my life I was at rock bottom and Momma Irene took me in as a soon, trusted me her home and cared for me like one of her own. She served me a hot meal and made sure I was well in her home. Her advice was for me to stay strong and to move forward. She encouraged make the best of my situation. I remember when I was a kid and Mama Irene used to drop us off at the movies or take us to blockbuster to rent movies on the weekend in her little station wagon filled with nothing but boys and believe me I don't know how we all fit, we were some big boys and there was a lot of us....she had the heart of gold and always treated us like she would treat her kids, always asking us if we were hungry or if we were doing ok, or give us advice on what was right or wrong....she looked out for us so much and I'm really gonna miss her.....to Benjamin, Richard, Iris, and Julio....if you guys need anything let me know family, love you guys.....to Irene thank you so much for everything you ever did for us as we were growing up....I will always be grateful....love you and may you rest in peace🙏

Thank you, Irene for your kindness throughout the years. As a friend to your wonderful children since childhood, I consider all of you part of my family.
