With heavy hearts but profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Ophelia Holiday on May 10, 2026, just one day after celebrating her 91st birthday. Born on May 9, 1935, in the sunny town of San Bernardino, California.
Ophelia was the beloved daughter of Nellie and Marshall Nunez.
In the early 1970s, Ophelia made a significant move to Burbank, where she joined the team at St. Joseph Medical Center, working in the nursery. There, she found her true calling, caring for newborns and supporting new mothers with compassion and expertise. Her gentle touch and warm smile brought comfort and reassurance to countless families during those early, precious days of life.
After a fulfilling career, Ophelia retired and relocated to Yucaipa, choosing to be closer to her family and dear friends. Her days were filled with joy as she spent cherished moments with her four children: Elissa, Teresa, Lawrence (Diana), and Thomas. Ophelia's legacy of love and laughter continues through her three grandchildren, David (Regina), Janice (Bryan), and Nicholas (Destini), and her two great-grandchildren, Adelina and Melody, who were the light of her life.
Ophelia's sister, Veronica, and her numerous nieces and nephews will fondly remember her as a loving sister and aunt.
