With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ted Maquinalez, whose vibrant spirit and unforgettable presence touched the lives of everyone around him. Ted passed away on October 12, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Ted is survived by his loving mother Gloria; his children Desiree, Andrea, Teddy, Rina, and Andrew; and his beloved granddaughter Lyza, who was the light of his world. He is also survived by his dear sisters Gloria, Melissa, Rachel, and Sarah, and his brothers Manuel, Ruben, Joey, David, and Steven. Ted was a proud godfather to Laleña, Isabella, KaylieAlice, Ryan, Marisol, Ronnie, Raul, and many more godchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Maquinalez, with whom he is now joyfully reunited.
Ted was truly one of a kind — known for his bold personality, big smile, and the way he could light up any room. He loved the color pink, a reflection of his bright and fearless spirit. Ted was the life of the party, always bringing energy, laughter, and joy wherever he went. He loved himself unapologetically, radiating confidence that inspired everyone around him.
One of his greatest passions was his lowriders, which he cherished and took great pride in. Whether cruising the streets or sharing stories, Ted’s love for his cars was a reflection of his style, pride, and personality.
He will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the way he made everyone feel like family. Ted’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know and love him.
