

She was born on February 2, 1928 in Whittier, California. Aida spent her youth in Guadalajara, Mexico and returned to Los Angeles at the age of 16.
Professionally, she became an administrator and bookkeeper, and her most noteworthy employers were the Screen Actors Guild and the San Diego Carpenters Apprenticeship Program.
In 1960 in El Cajon, CA Aida married Hershel Raymond Weedman, a World War II veteran and hero. They made their home in San Diego, and had 5 children.
Aida will be remembered for her devout love of God and her commitment to His Church and to her family and friends. She loved classical music, the opera, theater, cinema, wine, Hershey Bars, baseball, traveling and cooking, and hosting family and friends in her home.
Aida is survived by her 5 children, Mark, Paul, John, Anamaria and Tom, and 9 grandchildren. Preceded in death are her husband, Hershel, her parents Raymond Arriola and Maude Orona, and her 3 siblings Cleo, Carmen and Raymond Arriola.
There will be a Rosary at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, 10/13/21 at the Mission San Diego de Alcala Church and a funeral mass at 11:00 am the next morning (10/14/21), at Mission San Diego de Alcala, St. Francis Chapel. Immediately following the funeral mass will be the burial service at Holy Cross Cemetery.
