

ONE PROUD MARINE.
Albert McLaughlin, 78, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Born to Rafus Sr. and Willie Mae McLaughlin. He moved to Midland, Texas at an early age. He later joined the Marines and served two tours in Vietnam. After serving his tours of duty he returned to Midland. He later moved to San Diego, California. Albert retired from the Marines. He will be remembered for the great dad that he was and his willingness to help others. He will also be remembered for his humor. Preceding Albert in death were his parents, Rafus Sr. and Willie Mae McLaughlin, his wife Bobbie McLaughlin, his brothers, James McLaughlin, Elret McLaughlin, Clyde McLaughlin, Larry Dan McLaughlin, His nephew Earl McLaughlin, brother in law Willie Moss, sisters Lula Mae Moss, Judy Ann Lowery and Carolyn Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Paul McLaughlin and fiance Michelle, his daughter Loretta McLaughlin, his brother Rafus McLaughlin and wife Ruby, and two sisters, Louse Hayes and Doris Lowery, also Joe McLaughlin and Ernestine. His five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, and friends. We would like to thank John Gongalez for reaching out to find Albert's family and bring closure to the McLaughlin family. Services will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 1:30 pm in San Diego, California at Miramar National Cemetery.
