Anna Marie Ahern

Although Ann devoted the majority of her life to being a loving wife and mother, she also enjoyed a variety of careers once her three children were grown working in the areas of retail, real estate and property management.

Ann’s interest included spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading , shopping, and visiting with friends. Some of Ann’s favorite television shows were Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor, and Wheel of Fortune.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband William John Ahern, her sister Helen T. Ratini and many dear friends and relatives from Illinois.

Ann is survived by her three children – Brian, Ellen, and Kevin as well as her two grandchildren Landri and Jackson Ahern, and her daughters-in-law, Raquel and Radhi Ahern.

After her husband’s passing she spent the last 20 years living in La Jolla to be closer to her children.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many people who cared for Ann during her later years and for the compassion they showed our loved one. Ann was fortunate to be surrounded by family and friends at her time of passing.

A Requiem Mass will be held on November 11, 2025,10:00 a.m. at All Hallows Parish, 6602 La Jolla Scenic Drive South, La Jolla.
