

Our revered patriarch, has rejoined his loving wife Juanita M. Chelewski-Gray-Montgomery.
He lived life with tenacity and determination, but controlled with courtesy, kindness, joy, and love. Wonderful man.
His battle with cancer was very short, and after 91 years 11 months, he passed peacefully at his residence in the Good Samaritan Retirement Center.
Born August 15, 1920 in Colfax, Iowa – Passed July 15, 2012 in El Cajon, California.
At the age of six, he was left deaf because of complications from childhood diseases.
Joined the Army in 1942, and was honorably discharged in 1943.
Was employed at Casper Supply Company for almost 20 years.
Arthur married Juanita in 1960 with a built in family, two teenage boys and another boy just out of diapers. That took a lot of courage.
Family with new daughter moved to California in 1963.
He was a Letter Carrier with the U.S. Post Office in Bonita for 13 Years.
He is survived by his daughter Toni Sue Norris (husband John), son (Arthur) Scot Montgomery, and son Wayne Gray (wife Sybyl). Proceeding Arthur was son Jerry Gray. Eight grandchildren, Jared (fiancée Andria), Jacob, Rene (husband Brandon), April, Delores, Tony, Shari, and Dancia. Eleven great grandchildren, Austin, Landen, Pairris, Chloey, Tristin, Emily, Crystal (husband John), Melissa (husband Tyler), Cory, Tucker, and Winston. Four great-great grandchildren, Kaydence, Ryleigh, Elissa-May, and Maverick.
