Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Aurora N. Tolentino, peacefully left us on Friday, October 10, at 11:50 am, surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 years old.
Born to Cenon Narciso and Remedios Canlas in Sta. Rita, Pampanga, Philippines, Aurora grew up with a generous heart and a resilient spirit that would define her life.
On November 26, 1957, she married her lifelong partner, Martin D. Tolentino, a proud United States Navy Chief Petty Officer. Together they built a beautiful life in America, sharing 68 years of love, laughter, and unshakable devotion — a true example of soulmates.
Aurora was a loving mother to Mary A. Tolentino, Martin D. Tolentino Jr. and Helen Van Lingen, and a proud grandmother to five cherished grandchildren. Her love for family knew no bounds. Her husband, children & grandchildren will forever miss her.
She was one of the kindest and most selfless souls — always meeting life’s challenges with grace, strength, and a smile.
Aurora’s home was filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of her famous Filipino and American dishes. Her cooking brought people together, and her joy for life left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.
Aurora’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and quiet strength. She loved deeply, cared endlessly, and gave so much of herself to others.
Though our hearts ache at her passing, we take comfort knowing she passed peacefully at home, held close by those she loved most. On her last breath she held a gentle smile on her face as if to tell us all everything will be ok.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered — for her laughter, her love, and the beautiful life she built with us all.
