Bernadette Fleming Whalley

Bernadette Whalley, nee Fleming was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on August 5, 1939. She was the youngest of 7 children. In 1961 she married Anthony (Tony) Whalley, the love of her life and her handsome English gentleman. They lived in Ireland and had a daughter Jennifer. They then moved to England and had another daughter, Deborah. In 1968 they took their girls and moved to California. There they had a son, Patrick. Bernadette loved music, reading, traveling and spending time with family and was devout Catholic. Bernadette is survived by her husband Tony, her daughters, Jennifer Fitzpatrick and Deborah Soper, her son Patrick Whalley, her two sons in law, Jim Fitzpatrick and Greg Soper, and 5 grandchildren, Kevin Fitzpatrick, Caitlin Fitzpatrick, Brian Soper, Sean Soper and Micaela Whalley. Services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church at 4735 Cass Street, San Diego, CA. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the Mass at 11:00 am. Reception to follow at the Whalley family home in Scripps Ranch. Those who would like to attend the Graveside services and interment are welcome to join us. Service will be held on Wednesday, March 30th at 11:30am at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery at 7845 E Santiago Canyon Rd, Orange, CA.
