Carol A. Marino

Carol A. (Neidig) Marino of San Diego passed away on July 4, 2013 from cancer. Carol was born March 28, 1943 in Shamokin, Pennsylvaniato William and Florence Neidig. Her family moved to Brigantine, New Jersey in 1958 and Carol graduated from Atlantic City High School, Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1960.

Carol worked her entire career as a customer service representative for the telephone company. In 1967 she married Paul Marino and they lived in New Jersey and Florida before settling in San Diego around 1980.

Carol was predeceased by her husband, Paul, in 1984. She retired from the telephone company in 1998. Carol spent her time in the company of many good friends enjoying all the San Diego area has to offer. She liked animals and walking, especially at the zoo and Balboa Park. Carol volunteered at the downtown library with her long time friend Kathy Casey.

Carol is survived by her adored cat, Tommy Simba, her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Ron Devine of New Jersey, 2 nephews Tim and Todd Devine and their families. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Marie Marino of New Jersey.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to Carol’s many friends who supported her during her illness. Heartfelt gratitude goes to the caring individuals of the Vitas Hospice team for making Carol’s last days comfortable.
