OBITUARY

CHARLES MICHAEL PERRY

7 September, 196023 February, 2020

Charles Michael Perry, a United States Navy Veteran and life-long resident of San Diego, CA, died February 23, 2020 at the age of 59 from respiratory failure due to COPD. Mike is survived by his mother, Shirley D. Perry (Taylor) sisters, Debbie Bell, Brenda Riches, brother in-laws Fred Bell and Tom Riches, his niece Jennifer Reed and nephews Brandon Reed and Dustin Reed and Tannor Riches. He is predeceased by his father Charles Herbert Perry. Mike, was born in Oakland, CA on September 7, 1960 to Charles Herbert Perry and Shirley D. Perry. He graduated from Crawford High school in 1978 and joined the Navy shortly after. Mike was a loving Son, Brother, Nephew and Uncle who always put others first and loved his family unconditionally. He will truly be missed by all. A Funeral service is scheduled for 12:45pm on March 10, 2020 at Miramar National Cemetery located at 5795 Nobel Dr. San Diego, CA 92122. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the service. Dr. William Perry, his Uncle, will be officiating the Funeral Service. One of Mikes favorite things was eating Mexican food at Por Favors restaurant .We went there often . We would talk about so many things . Usually he would have me laughing so hard I’d have tears .

I remember so vividly Mike when he was a little boy walking down the levy with him holding my hand and him asking me, "Uncle Bill when are we going fishing? I'm tired of walking." We had some long conversations.

He will be missed.
