Charles “Bud” Emmett Watrous, 86, was taken home to be with Our Heavenly Father. Bud was born on March 12, 1932 in Crestline Ohio and passed away peacefully on January 1st, 2019 in San Diego.
At age 17 he joined to serve his country in the United States Marine Corp and proudly served for 17
years. During this time, he was awarded a Purple Heart Medal during the Korean War. He then worked for Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA) as Food Services Director for the San Diego Chargers football organization. And prior to retiring, he completed his career as Food Services Manager for the San Diego County prison system.
He is survived by his loving and nurturing wife of 36 years Shirley. His sister, Donna, his children Michael, Jack, Tonya, Kris and Becca. His stepchildren Greg, Karen and Kathy, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Miramar National Cemetery.
