IN LOVING MEMORY ~ Chung Choi Ormsby, 09/21/1927-11/18/2015, passed peacefully in Escondido Life Care Center with her children at her side. Survived by sister Chung-hee Adams; sons Theodore (Theresa) Ormsby and William (Sue) Ormsby; daughter Janet (Eugene) Green; niece Patricia (Tod) Nordby; nephews James (Sandy) Adams and Tommy Adams; grandchildren Regenea (Mark) Schlichenmeyer, Dawn Cox, Kurt (Trika) Ormsby, Angela Hatch, Bliss Ormsby; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son John Ormsby and devoted husband of 48 years, Ralph Ormsby. Chung was born in Seoul, Korea, to a Pharmacist father and Calligraphist mother. She was formally educated, fluent in several languages and a translator for America during the Korean war. Chung came to America to study abroad and devoted herself to this great country where she retired as a civil servant. Founder of Korean Wives Club and a skilled artist, she lived a productive life, loved and respected by many. Internment Miramar National Cemetery.
