Consolacion Asunción Ragadi, age 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at her home in Peoria, AZ from a long battle of cancer. She migrated to the United States together with her late husband, Cirilo Capet Ragadi in August of 1984 and lived in Guam, Chicago, IL, San Diego, CA and Peoria, AZ. Throughout her life, she was a homemaker, doting mother and beloved wife. She was a fun and loving grandma, great grandma and great-great grandma. She is survived by her eight children, Lourdes Ragadi Sucab of Peoria, AZ; Manuel and Rosita Ragadi Bungcayao of Escondido, CA; Catalino Ragadi of Laoag City, Philippines; Elpidia Ragadi Manarpaac of Laoag City, Philippines; Artemio and Sylva Bangalan Ragadi of Peoria, AZ; Efren and Ludy Marcos Ragadi of San Francisco, CA; Carmelita Ragadi Bayudan and Rhiz Garcia of Peoria, AZ and Edwin and Alwina Beltran Ragadi of Honolulu, HI. She is likewise survived by 27 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She grew up during the global depression and very difficult times in the Philippines, hence she was not able to finish her elementary education. Despite of that, she became a very diligent, hardworking, practical and caring woman. She was an attention-getter in every family party. She loved to show her dance moves every time the music plays. She enjoyed talking to anyone, most likely sharing her life story. She was known to burst out laughing every time a family member cracked jokes. On February 22, 2015, they celebrated a grandiose 75th wedding anniversary at St. William Cathedral in Laoag City, Philippines. She looked beautiful, happy and radiant in her wedding gown. Unfortunately, that was her last visit to her motherland. She lived a happy life, was well-loved and remained a very strong woman until her final months with the big C. Her warmth shared with everyone is surely missed.
