Consuelo Guinto Ocampo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Consuelo “Consing” Ocampo. A beloved mother, wife, and friend, who passed away peacefully on Sept 11, 2024 at the age of 88 at her daughter's home in Reno, NV. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments.

Consuelo Ocampo was born on Aug 24,1936 in Apalit, Pampanga. She grew up with a strong sense of family , with traits that defined her throughout her life. After marrying Ceferino Ocampo in 1956, they shared 65 years of love and companionship, raising 7 children together: Rosemarie, Renato, Rodel, Ramir, Rosalyn, Ceferino Jr, and Reynaldo.

It was also her pride and joy to share memories, even with just video calls with her grandchildren and great grandchildren in the Philippines.

As a mother, nanay Consing was dedicated, nurturing, and endlessly loving. Her children remember her for the wisdom she imparted, the strength she showed in tough times, and the joy she brought to their lives. She was their biggest supporter and the heart of their family.

Nanay Consing was a source of light and warmth to all who knew her. Her kindness, strength, and compassion will be dearly missed but never forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire her family and friends.

She is survived by her 7 children, 20 grandchildren and 6 great grand children and preceded in death by her husband, tatay Cef who passed away in 2021.

A funeral service will be held on Sept 23, 2024, at El Camino Memorial Chapels, located at 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA, 92121, from 3:00pm-8:00pm. Interment will follow on Sept 24, 2024 at the Miramar National Cemetery to be witnessed exclusively by family members only.

She will be deeply missed by her family and her memory will forever live on in our hearts.
