Corinne Louise Dunham was born on September 9, 1928 to parents Clarence L. Rios and Mabel A. Norris Rios in Los Angeles, California, she was one of four sisters, Marilyn, Muriel and Lois. She grew up in El Sereno, a suburb of Los Angeles. She attended a Catholic Girls High School in Los Angeles for two years and graduated from South Pasadena High School, she then went to John Muir Jr. College in Pasadena where she graduated with an Associates Degree. Corinne married Sterling P. Dunham in 1949, in their early years they lived in Temple City, California before moving to San Diego, California where they started their Family and Contact Lens business. Corinne was predeceased by her husband Sterling Dunham, her son Michael Dunham and her daughter Carolyn Kempston, she is survived by her grandchildren Cameron, Tyler and Hailey Kempston as well as her three great grandchildren.
Corinne was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed painting, sewing, reading, golfing and playing bridge with friends. She also loved to travel, with her favorite place being Yosemite National Park. She was a religious woman who devoted her life to God and the Catholic Church.
Corinne was loved by her friends and family, her three sisters whom she spoke highly of and her grandchildren who called her “Grandy”.
