He was born and raised in Norfolk, Nebraska. He entered the Navy during the Korean War and served on the Destroyer "Frank Knox". After his Navy service, he made his home in San Diego. His hobby was skeet and trap shooting at which he won numerous awards.
He retired from The Department of Defense at SPAWAR in 2004.
He is survived by his daughter Kym, granddaughters Nicolle and Devin, grandson Derrik, and great-grandchildren Parker and Reese all of San Diego.
He was a great example to all, an adoring grandfather, and a devoted father who will be deeply missed.
