Danny was born June 12th, 1943, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the son of Max Zides and Ester Vigoda Zides.
Danny graduated from Brookline High School in 1961, then went on to Michigan State, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology.
Danny married Gail Ellen Bacow on Sept. 5th, 1965, at Ahvas Achim Synagogue in Detroit Michigan, with Rabbi Seymour Panitz officiating. They would have been married 59 years next Friday. They had two sons, Michael, and Robert.
Danny spent 42 years loyally working for the Xerox corporation as a sales executive. He was recognized as a top executive salesman of the year. He retired in 2007.
Danny was fond of spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and became a very handy wood worksman, even teaching his own classes. Teaching and passing on his knowledge and experience in all areas of life was such a natural trait for Danny. That passion is one of the true essences of who Danny was.
Danny was a member of Congregation Beth Israel. His faith was always important to him and celebrating Passover with his family was one of his yearly highlights.
Remaining to cherish Danny’s memory are his wife Gail Bacow Zides, his children Michael and Michelle Zides and Robert and Prichya Zides. His grandchildren, Justin and Kristin Zides and his great grandchildren Rachel and Sarah Zides, his brother Alan Zides and nieces Amanda and Debbie Zides.
Preceding Danny in death were his parents Max and Ester Zides
Funeral/Memorial services will be held August 30th at noon at El Camino Memorial Park, with Rabbi Gimbel of Congregation Beth Israel officiating. The family will be sitting shiva on Saturday night, Sunday, and Monday at the family home.
Donations in Danny’s memory may be directed to The American Cancer Society or to cancer research.
