Schmucker, Dennis SAN DIEGO -- Dennis Schmucker passed away on March 12, 2014 in San Diego, CA. Dennis was a military veteran and businessman but above all, a great father and friend. As a respected and successful businessman, Dennis led several of the United States largest bankruptcies. He reorganized companies throughout the nation including: Southmark in Texas and U.S. Financial and Pioneer Mortgage in San Diego, recovering millions of dollars for investors in the process. Dennis split his time between his homes in Mission Bay, CA and Steamboat Springs, CO. He was an avid skier, political enthusiast and wine aficionado. Dennis was a "problem solver" which was evident in his professional life, but he mostly loved mentoring those close to him to better their lives. Dennis would say his most significant accomplishment was his daughters: Kristy, Devon and Whitney, whom he proudly raised. Dennis will be gravely missed by all.
