I met this lovely lady, Diana Silva in the First Presbyterian Church of Oceanside.  It was a Sunday to celebrate the history and foundation of Presbyterianism, so the British and. Specifically the Scottish congregation stood.  Diana and I found a quick and lasting connection.  Her Candlin family and my Duncan family came from Scotland.  We sat together many Sundays and enjoyed talking about our families and her adventures in swimming with a professional team.  We also loved the beautiful music in the church.  One Sunday she told me that I needed to join the choir so I followed her advise and I’m still singing in the Chancel Choir today.  When Diana’s health declined her daughter, Theresa, took wonderful care of her at home.  She also brought Diana to church in a wheelchair regularly.  Our church members miss them both so very much
